Driving Science, Driving the Future: Careers and Skills Expo

The Department of Business and Innovation’s Automotive and Defence units in partnership with the Grand Prix Corporation and the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO), is conducting a careers and skills forum from 15-18 March. The forum is part of the Grand Prix Corporation’s community engagement program and will build on previous AAW careers seminars aimed at secondary school students in years 9 to 12.
The purpose of the forum is to inspire students to pursue courses in science, technology, maths and engineering at TAFE and University level. A careers and skills expo will also be staged in conjunction with the forum to engage the students and the general public. Over 20 industry champions and young professionals will make presentations andengage with the teachers and students in the first two days of the forum. The third and final day will be open to the general public.
